The Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Philadelphia Flyers 4-1 on Monday at Benchmark International Arena. Pontus Holmberg and Ilya Mikheyev each scored a goal and added an assist. Brayden Point and Brandon Hagel also scored, and Andrei Vasilevskiy made 13 saves. Philadelphia fell to 0-2-2 and opened the season with four straight losses for the first time since 2013-14.

Tim Stutzle scored twice and added an assist in the Ottawa Senators' 4-1 win over the Boston Bruins at TD Garden. He netted both goals in the first period, including a shorthanded strike, and Michael Amadio had a goal and an assist. Jeremy Swayman made 20 saves for Boston. Linus Ullmark and Samuel Ersson combined on 18 saves as Ottawa moved to 2-0-0.

The New York Islanders visit the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Eastern on ESPN. The rivals meet for the first time this season after the Islanders' 6-0 win over New Jersey and the Rangers' strong early start.

Nine NHL games are on Tuesday's schedule. Ottawa visits Detroit at 7 p.m. Eastern, Nashville plays at Toronto at 7 p.m. Eastern, and Vegas visits Seattle at 9 p.m. Eastern.
