On October 8, 2026, the San Jose Sharks defeated the St. Louis Blues 3-2 in overtime at Enterprise Center. Connor McMichael gave St. Louis a 1-0 lead at 3:56 of the first on a feed from Mason McTavish, scoring two nights after his first goal as a member of the Blues. Tyler Toffoli tied it 1-1 at 8:59 of the second on his own rebound after Kiefer Sherwood blocked Joel Hofer in front.
Dillon Dubé scored a short-handed goal at 1:39 of the third to put the Blues ahead 2-1, his first goal since November 2023. Collin Graf answered at 6:05 of the third with a one-timer to force overtime. Darnell Nurse scored 1:03 into the extra period off a feed from Ivar Stenberg for his first goal with San Jose after being acquired from Edmonton on July 1.
Alex Nedeljkovic made 24 saves for San Jose, which improved to 3-1-0 with all three wins coming in overtime. Hofer had 24 saves for St. Louis, which lost its third straight at 1-2-1. Sharks captain Macklin Celebrini missed his second straight game with a lower-body injury. Blues defenseman Colton Parayko played his 804th career game, breaking Barret Jackman's franchise record for a defenseman.
