Colorado Avalanche vs Winnipeg Jets Game Analysis — Saturday, January 11, 2025
By Hockey in 60
Winnipeg Jets paired the victory with a 29–22 advantage in shots on goal, accounting for 56.9% of the two teams’ combined shots. That gives the result support beyond the scoreline: the winning side also put more attempts on target. Shot totals alone do not show the quality of those chances or how the balance changed while either team was protecting a lead.
Colorado Avalanche converted 0 of 2 power plays (0.0%); Winnipeg Jets had no power-play opportunities. Neither team added a power-play goal, so neither gained a scoring edge from converting its man advantages.
Winnipeg Jets won 60.9% of faceoffs. That is a clear edge in restarts, but faceoff percentage should not be treated as a possession percentage: the totals do not show where the draws occurred or what happened immediately afterwards.
